Covid - 19 status: Norwegian Cruise Ports

The corona infection rate is decreasing here in Norway and we wait for the Norwegian Government to open the borders. Port of Bergen has together with a project group consisting of members of Cruise Norway developed a common platform for local infection prevention measures. The objective is to provide a clear and simple overview of the situation in the different ports/destination, and the measures in place at local attractions, activity providers and other suppliers.

In short the structure defines four tiers of infection scenarios for each port. The tier level describes the current situation at the different ports/destinations and which measures that have to be in place to proceed the operation. Implemented measures will also be described for each of the local sites. Port of Bergen has developed this structure together with DNV. Most Norwegian ports, destinations and attractions are now joining the collaboration in order to make this an effective tool for cruise lines and shore ex agents when planning itineraries to Norway.

The Port of Flåm and the destination will follow guidelines given by the national authorities. The port together with the destination company has developed protocols for receiving cruise calls at different tier levels.

The Port of Flåm is therefore in a position to safely recive calls at all tier levels except TIER 4.

Please visit www.panports.no for more information about measures taken by each individual attraction, shops and point of interest.
